Ingredients
- 4-5 baby pak choi (or 2 large pak choi)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated (optional)
- 3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar (or lime juice)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Fresh coriander (optional)
- Red chili flakes (optional for added spice)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pak Choi:
- Rinse the pak choi thoroughly and cut off the root ends. If you’re using large pak choi, you can cut them into halves or quarters, depending on size.
- Heat the Pan:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat.
- Cook the Pak Choi:
- Add the pak choi to the pan. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the leaves start to wilt, and the stalks become tender but still crisp.
- Add Garlic and Ginger (if using):
- Add the minced garlic (and ginger if you’re using it) and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce:
- Pour in the sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir well to coat the pak choi in the sauce. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine and the sauce to slightly thicken.
- Finishing Touches:
- Once the pak choi is well-coated and tender, remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds, fresh coriander, and red chili flakes for extra heat if desired.
- Serve:
- Serve as a side dish or on its own with steamed rice or noodles.
